The Gift of Fitness has been created to address the many commonalities that have repeatedly been voiced to me in my work as Seminar facilitator around New Zealand.

By a long way the one I hear most is nearly always a version of “how do I get started?”

This is simply a gap in knowledge, a gap I intend to bridge with this retreat.
I fully understand how much information is out there and how much of a hindrance that can be.

I am extremely passionate about giving people the gift of fitness, to that end everything in the retreat is stripped down to the most easy to understand fundamentals. Getting away and having an immersion experience is so valuable. Staying in a quiet location surrounded by nature we can really engage in the subject matter. 

We can learn some extremely valuable skills; meet like-minded people who want to take their lives to the next level and come away refreshed and confident to take hold of our fitness and health like never before.

Through the retreat we will go into the basics of how to perform a set of exercises safely, how to put them into a personalised weekly program and how to progress that plan as we get fitter.

There will be an introduction to very healthy and affordable, quick to prepare meals and snacks that we do as group. 
We will learn some simple formulas to understand how much of these foods we need to achieve our goals. As well as creating an understanding of what our bodies need to thrive. 

We will learn some breathing and yoga techniques to help us manage stress and develop a more caring attitude towards our bodies.

There will also be a module on mental training principles to help us re-write our relationship to exercise, food and our sense of self-worth.


WHAT WILL YOU WALK AWAY WITH?
You will leave the retreat with high levels of clarity around what you as an individual needs to focus on to activate and achieve your fitness and health goals.
 

You will develop and have the practical skills, the understanding and the motivation to write your own exercise programs, your own meal plans and maintain the focus and enthusiasm needed as you progress steadily towards your goals.

Clothing and footwear suitable to exercise in for 3 days. Your own bedding/sheets/duvets/pillows etc.

WHO IS JOSH?
Josh is a former kiwi Soldier, devote Monk, and as a lifelong athlete competing in a wide variety of sports brings a wealth of personal experience to his retreats.

With nearly 20 years in the fitness and wellbeing industry he has a range of qualifications that address every part of the training spectrum.

From personal training and nutrition to clinical hypnotherapy and Life coaching, Josh’s skills have helped many to achieve lasting fitness and lifestyle goals.

All I can say is wow. Its been four days since I finished Josh's Leadership training and im still buzzing with excitement and idea's. His approach is fantastic, authentic and easy to follow no matter what level you are at and most importantly relevant to all modern social and business models. His coarse material is in depth and to the point and has many practical aspects to it, but never overwhelming which was nice for a change. For me though the best part was when he went off script and talked about his story and how this formed and impacted his personal leadership style and the many people along the way who have influenced this. Listening to Josh's story was worth the price alone. I found Josh to be very generous with his knowledge, time and energy and he created an environment that allowed everyone in the class to feel involved and important. His inclusive style left you feeling like nothing was impossible and I have already included two of Josh's strategies in my business this week with great results.
